The story takes place in an orange house with four young girls and an old woman called "The Knitting Lady." The story is about a girl who is going through a rough patch with her mother so she has to live in a foster home. She meets four unique girls who become her friends and family. It's a tear-jerker.
I liked this book because it had a lot of dialogue. When the eleven year old girls talked, it sounded like eleven year old girls. I loved the ending. This is the best book I have ever read. Amazing.
