Magician's Nephew

The Magician's Nephew by C.S. Lewis

Reviewed by Kiri                October 2005

This book is full of magic.  It leads you to unknown life and let you know how Narnia was born.  It shows that magic can lead to anything.  My favorite part is when Aslan begins to sing and Narnia is born.  For a while the kids think that the sky is singing.  Since Narnia had just been born, Polly dropped a piece of toffee in the ground.  The next day there was a toffee tree where she had dropped the candy.

It's a good mix of many genres such as fantasy, action and animal stories.  It makes you very emotional.  My favorite part is when Uncle Andrew goes up to his room and imagines himself and the witch getting together.  It's funny because when he's with her, he cowers in fear, but he's very sure that she loves him when he's alone.
